Late Banker Herbert Wigwe’s Daughter Tochi Marries Into Family Of Babangida’s Deputy President Augustus Aikhomu
Family and friends have gathered in Lagos to celebrate the traditional wedding of Otutochi “Tochi” Wigwe, the eldest daughter of late banking executive Herbert Wigwe, to her fiancé, Wilson Omogbale Aikhomu.
Son of the late Rear Admiral Joseph Omozuwa Aikhomu and nephew of former Chief of General Staff, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu (Vice President to Military President Ibrahim Babangida), the groom is a Lagos-based investment professional and the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Zoya Admiralty.
The 28-year-old Tochi currently leads her late father’s HOW Foundation.
The couple exchanged marital vows in a private ceremony attended by members of both families and close friends.
The intimate celebration featured traditional marriage rites, including the payment of the bride price, signing of family documents and the formal handing over of Tochi to her husband’s family.
Wilson was also a close friend of Tochi’s late brother, Chizi.
Herbert Wigwe, his wife, Chizoba, and their older son, Chizi, died in a helicopter crash in California on February 9, 2024.
