Show Promoter Sam Larry (Balogun Samson), who alongside Naira Marley (Azeez Fashola), was accused and arrested for the death of Afrobeat musician Mohbad, faced violent backlashes on X, after posting a Happy New Year message.
They became prime suspect over series of videos that showed them and their aides launching assaults on the late Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, prior to his death.
The duo had been arraigned and remanded on October 6 over alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding the death of Mohbad.
Both denied complicity in Mohbad’s death.
Naira Marley and Sam Larry were released after meeting their bail conditions granted on November 6 by a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, in the sum of N20 million with three sureties.
MohBad, aged 27, passed away under unclear circumstances on September 12, prompting speculation and a subsequent investigation into his demise.
