Naira Falls To Weakest In 6 Months At N1,625/$1

The naira fell at the foreign exchange market in a record six-month low, selling to the dollar at N1,625.88 on the official NAFEM market on Wednesday, August 4, 2024.

It is the Nigerian currency’s weakest rate since March, when it exchanged for N1627.4 to the dollar.

FMDQ data on the NAFEM window shows that the naira’s depreciation on September 4 represents a 0.89% decline from the previous day’s rate of N1,611.34/$1.
