Electricity User Laments Being Upgraded To Band A Tariff, Paying 6 Times More

An electricity consumer on Nairaland has lamented being moved from Band D to Band A and charged the new tariff of N1,500 for 6.7 units instead of the usual 41.1.

Calling himself “Kidspirit,” he wrote on the blog on Friday:

“We were recently moved by AEDC from Band ‘D’ to Band ‘A’. In fact, they move us without notice.

“Sometimes they will move us to Band ‘C’, all without notice. I just bought a prepaid unit of N1,500 this morning and they gave me only 6.7 unit, in this harsh economy.

“I got 41.1 unit last month with same N1,500 when we were in Band ‘C’

“6.7 unit can’t last me more than two days for a minimal use.

“My chest dey pain me. 💔 😢”
