Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has disclosed that politicians would hoard money as the 2027 election approaches.
He made the statement on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the international headquarters of his church in Lagos.
Ayodele said he has said it before that rice and garri would come down but it would be difficult for people to buy them to scarcity of cash.
He said there would be food, but there would be no money to buy them.
He reiterated his earlier statement that rice would cost between N30,000 and N35,000 per bag, but there would be no money to buy them.
Primate Ayodele said, “People say there will be food, yes, there will be food, but there will be no money.
He said: “There will be scarcity of cash, people will be hording money, politicians will be hording money for the election.
“I have told you that rice will come to N30,000, N35,000, and garri N25,000 but there will be no money to buy them.”
