NNPP Ogun Ready For Elections, Says Acting Chairman, As Hon. Olubunmi Eniola Adekoya Emerges Governorship Candidate
The Ogun State Acting chairperson of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Alhaja Shakirat Idris Arowolo has assured party members that the party is fully on ground for the 2027 elections, expressing hopes of victory for the candidates.
She stated this at the party’s primary election in Abeokuta, where Hon. Olubunmi Eniola Adekoya was chosen as the NNPP governorship candidate.
She said NNPP in Ogun State has gone past the stage where people can overlook it, because of the work they’ve put in before and are still doing till now.
“That’s why We carefully selected candidates who meet the required standards for the 2027 elections, and We repose confidence in our candidates that they will take power from the APC”
Arowolo also said some people may be making noise everywhere, but it’s just market noise, because all the candidates are ready to compete with all the other contenders.
Other candidates picked to represent the party include Hon. Olowu Olayemi Kehinde, who got the ticket to contest for Ogun East Senatorial District.
Hon. Taofik Adisa Adegboyega for Ogun Central and Hon. Adeleke Saheed, who will also contest for Ogun West Senatorial seat.
Hon. Oluwasegun Rasaq Shofowora was given the ticket for Sagamu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Arowolo who congratulated the candidates on the tickets , urged them not to be discouraged at all, adding that she knows people of Ogun are supporting the party.
She also appealed to all party members to stay united and peaceful, and to cooperate with their candidates, praying that they will succeed.
In her remarks, the governorship candidate Olubunmi Eniola Adekoya showed appreciation for being given the ticket as standard bearer of the party
She assured the members that she would live up to their expectations, adding that she won’t let them down and ready to lead them to Oke-Mosan come 2027.
Adekoya asked for the cooperation and support of all party members because she can’t do it alone.
