As the 2027 general elections draw closer and political activities intensify across the country, candidates are increasingly stepping forward to seek the mandate of the people.

Among those contesting for the Ogun Central Senatorial District is Engineer Samuel Oluwafẹmi Abiodun-Oni, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who says he believes the time has come for him to serve and represent his people.

Since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially recognised him as a candidate, Abiodun-Oni has continued to attract growing attention and support from residents who believe he has what it takes to represent them effectively at the National Assembly in Abuja.

For those who know the ADC candidate, his reputation as a person of good character and integrity is not something that began with his political ambition.

They describe his good character as a long-standing quality, saying he has consistently demonstrated responsibility and respect for others.

His supporters point to his record of involvement in important community and public affairs, describing him as someone with a strong commitment to serving the people, as well as a capable leader and advocate.

There is a Yoruba saying that says, a person’s character and reputation are ultimately revealed by where they come from and by the testimony of those who know them.

This, supporters say, explains why people across Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, where Abiodun-Oni hails from, are taking his candidacy seriously.

Traditional leaders, political stakeholders, community figures and residents connected to the local government have reportedly rallied support behind their son as he seeks the Ogun Central Senate seat.

They insist that they will explore every legitimate avenue to ensure that his ambition receives the necessary support.

Now, Abiodun-Oni is appealing to voters across Ogun Central to entrust him with their mandate, promising that electing him as their senator in 2027 will bring renewed representation and tangible benefits to the people.

According to him, his five-point agenda places particular emphasis on development, progress and sustainable advancement for the people of Ogun Central.

He also expressed concern over what he described as years of inadequate representation of Ogun Central in Abuja, arguing that the district deserves a senator who will actively pursue its interests rather than merely occupy the seat.

Among his priorities are strengthened security, justice and good governance, economic development, and policies that will translate democratic governance into tangible benefits for ordinary citizens.

With the 2027 Ogun Central Senate race gradually becoming more competitive, Abiodun-Oni and his supporters are urging voters across the district to make a decisive choice.

The message from his campaign is clear and the time has come for Ogun Central to give its mandate to Engineer Oluwafẹmi Abiodun-Oni, in the 2027 Senate election.
