A non-governmental organization, Olurebi Foundation, has provided eye screening and free eye glasses for over 500 beneficiaries in Sango Ota, Ado Odo Local Government Area of Ogun State
The foundation’s initiative was welcomed by the community, with Hon. Olatunji Abiola Isiaq, a chief and community leader at Ago Gbagura, expressing gratitude for the much-needed support. “Sango Ota has been lacking in many social amenities due to lack of leaders,” he said. “The influx of people to the area has not translated to benefits for the community, given the state of the economy and the low standard of living.”
The foundation’s intervention was in response to the community’s plea for help with eye health issues. “Our research revealed that many people are suffering from eye problems,” Hon. Isiaq explained. “We spoke with the Prince Olurebi Empowerment Foundation, and they agreed to alleviate the suffering of the people.”
The foundation has also distributed free exercise books to four schools in the community and refurbished a school’s borehole, providing potable drinking water for pupils.
Chief Isiaq commended the promoter of the foundation, Prince Olurebi, a PhD holder in Entrepreneurship Development, for his contributions to the community’s growth and development. “He is a son of the soil who schooled in Sango Ota and has been contributing to the welfare of the residents where he was born,” he said.

Beneficiaries of the initiative, including Bello Yusuf, Adebanke Kareem, J.O. Sanni, and Olori Mofuliat Olurebi, expressed gratitude for the health initiative, which has given them the opportunity to check their health status and receive free eye glasses.
“We thank the promoter of the foundation for this initiative, May God grant him all his heart’s desires.”
