Peter Obi Will Ever Be More Popular Than You In Anambra And Nigeria, Senator Victor Umeh Slams Gov Soludo
Senator Victor Umeh has slammed Anambra State’s Governor Charles Soludo, who has been having a running battle with his predecessor and Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.
While appearing as a guest on Channels TV on Tuesday night, October 27, Umeh asserted that no matter what Soludo accomplished, he could never match Obi’s immense popularity on both local and international stages.
Umeh is representing Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 10th Nigeria National Assembly.
Formerly of the Labour Party, he has since joined Obi in Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
“Today, no matter what Soludo does, Peter Obi will continue to become more popular than him, both in Nigeria and in Anambra State,”Umeh said
Umeh spoke against the backdrop of the growing rivalry between the two Anambra political figures.
In recent times, Soludo has repeatedly dismissed reports of Obi’s excellent performance in office and disputed claims that his predecessor left the state debt-free.
Soludo has also thrown his weight behind the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu, explicitly urging South-East indigenes not to vote for Obi in 2027.
Umeh further argued that Obi was the actual winner of the 2023 presidential election, maintaining that if a free and fair election were held in Nigeria today, Obi would have been declared the rightful winner.
