President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has flown out of Yokohama, Japan, to Brazil, where he is expected to commence a state visit on August 24.
Going by a statement issued on Thursday evening by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the Nigerian President left Japan on Thursday night and will have a brief stopover in Los Angeles before proceeding to Brasilia, the Brazilian capital.
Onanuga noted that Tinubu had embarked on the two-nation tour on August 15 when he left Abuja, making a stop in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before arriving in Yokohama on August 18.
During his stay in Japan, the President attended the opening ceremony and plenary session of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) on August 20, and also held bilateral meetings with various leaders.
His engagements in Japan ended with an interactive session with Nigerians in the diaspora on Thursday night.
