Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has decried the coming of the American military in Nigeria to fight terrorism.
Primate Ayodele made this known while speaking to a team of Journalists in Lagos on Friday, February 6, 2026.
He said, “US military, they are in Nigeria now, you know I said it, that Trump is coming, Trump is coming, but that is not the case now, many people are celebrating that US is coming to kill and to destroy, but sincerely, it is a bad partnership. It is a bad relationship. Truth is always bitter. I tell you again, it is a bad partnership.
“America coming to fight terrorism, will Nigerian military go to America to fight their own problem. Are we not the ones to solve our problems by ourselves?
“All I am saying is that Nigeria will regret this partnership with America, because so many things are going to come into the process.
“These terrorists, they are everywhere in Africa, the more you are killing them, the more they are coming, until they get to the root of it, they have not gotten to the root of it.
“Go and get to the root and the source and battle it, they are just fighting it at the top. It doesn’t work and it will never work.”
“Nigerian military must not rejoice, the president of Nigeria or the federal government must not rejoice, America knows what they are doing and what they want to do, but they are just telling the Nigerian Government what they want to hear.
“They may not understand what I am saying but that is just my own, as the lord reveals,” he said.
