Primate Ayodele Warns That African Sit-Tight Leaders Are Seeking Disaster
Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, has warned African leaders against the sit-tight syndrome.
Primate Ayodele, who made the statement on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the international headquarters of his church in Lagos, said that for the President of Zimbabwe to seek another term would spell doom for the country.
He also warned the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) against a third term bid.
For Senegal, Primate Ayodele warned the President against taking steps that will affect his political career.
He said, “Zimbabwean President wanted to become a life President. Changing of Constitution in Zimbabwe is another disaster for the Zimbabwean people.
“Likewise DRC, Felix wanted to go for third term, for that, there is going to be a political turmoil in the country.
“The whole country of DRC will scatter, the man does not care, but the country will scatter.
“Gabon, be careful not to see crisis, economic crisis because you will go and borrow money, and that money you want to go and borrow, you will find it difficult to pay it.
“Senegal, the Senegalese President will make a wrong move that will affect him politically.
“Zambia, the Zambian President will still retain his seat if the opposition does not form a coalition.”
