Primate Ayodele Says Gov Adeleke Must Focus And Mustn’t Fail Osun People, Slams EFCC For Hypocrisy In Its Vote-Buying War
Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, has urged the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, to be focused on the election ahead.
He, also, spoke out against the “eyeservice syndrome” in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over its purported fight against vote-buying, wondering why the agency did not arrest members of the ruling party APC, shown in viral videos distributng foodstuffs and cash.
He advised Adeleke not to fail Osun people.
Primate Ayodele made the statement on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, while speaking to the media.
He told the Governor point blank that the people that were dancing with him now were doing so because he is still relevant.
He said, “Adeleke, some of the people following you are following you because you are relevant now.
“They are dancing with you now because you are still relevant, if you are not there again, this your dancing dancing, they will not dance with you again. They are following you because they only want to eat, they don’t like you, I am telling you.
“Several of the people dancing with you are liars.
“I don’t say you should like what I am saying, but I am saying the truth.
“That is why you have to struggle because you have something in front of you.
“Sit down and do your little calculations, honestly.
“Some people you are seeing will frustrate you. Pay your camp very well and do your needful calculations.”
Primate Ayodele said, “There is a lot of eyeservice in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“Eyeservice is too much in the commission.
“I told you, forget EFCC in elections in Nigeria. Now vote-buying has started in Osun State.
“Both parties are into it, I think APC and Accord, they are doing it. Now how many people have they arrested?
“Is it not the beginning of vote-buying, I thought by now EFCC would have raided the place, captured them, jailed them.
“I notice some of your senators when they are drunk they begin to formulate different laws that are not necessary.
“Injustice, if it is one party that is not strong they would have arrested them and they will begin to make noise.
“Vote-buying is permanent in Nigeria.”
