As part of agreements reached to end the political crisis in Rivers State, 26 House of Assembly members loyal to Nyesom WIke have withdrawn their notice of impeachment against Governor Sim Fubara.
The lawmakers met at the State House of Assembly quarters this morning December 20 where they withdrew the notice.
Fubara and WIke have been at loggerheads over the governance of the state.
At a meeting with President Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, they had agreed to end all impeachment proceedings against the Governor by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
It was also agreed that the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly as led by the Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule shall be recognized alongside the 27 members who resigned from the PDP.
