Put Tinubu’s Son Seyi In Charge Of Nigerian Football As NFF President, Says Ex-Super Eagles’ Obafemi Martins
Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has floated the idea of Seyi Tinubu, the son of the Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to head the country’s soccer-ruling institution, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Speaking on the ObiOne Podcast on Monday, Martins called for younger leadership in Nigerian football and suggested that Seyi Tinubu could help bring about the changes the sport needs.
Martins said Nigerian football needed someone who understood both the game and the system, while describing Seyi Tinubu as young and capable of understanding what Nigerians wanted.
His comments come at a time of major uncertainty within the NFF following the resignation of Ibrahim Gusau and other members of the federation’s executive committee.
