Redeemed Church Founder Josiah Akindayomi’s Daughter Says Those Seeking Monuments Named After Him Don’t Believe In Heaven -Prays For Adeboye
I am Pastor Titilayo Adewale, one of the daughters of Pa. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, founder of The Redeemed Christian Church of God.
My attention has been drawn to a statement attributed to me regarding The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye and the legacy of my father.
In the statement, it was claimed that I asserted that many senior RCCG Pastors are unaware of my father as the Founder of the church and that I advocated for preserving his legacy.
I want to clarify that the statement attributed to me is not from me, either implicitly or explicitly.
For the record, Baba’s image or no image on any edifice on earth is nothing compared to making Heaven with his full face being recognized.
Regarding legacy, the most significant legacy is not buildings or institutions but individuals.
My father consistently believed in building people rather than merely constructing buildings.
He never believed in acquiring wealth or earthly possessions.
It was a challenge to convince my father to own a building because he was not convinced of its value. If he was unwilling to own a personal residence, how could he or any child be bothered if his name is not associated with buildings or institutions?
It doesn’t add up!
It doesn’t make sense that he would have desired the kind of recognition suggested by the authors or instigators of this article.
In my opinion, this news and similar ones are not about me, my father or even the leadership of the RCCG. Instead, they are intended to create unnecessary arguments and discord.
Their purpose is to divert attention from the divine work being carried out and still going on, and sow discord among us.
I urge the individuals propagating these false narratives to cease in their actions and desist forthwith from any further mischievous acts of misinformation or face the biblically assured divine judgment (that is even if you know God) that is due to unrepentant evil perpetrators.
If not, give your total being to Him today, He’s a merciful God, as tomorrow may be too late.
I pray for continued support and strength for Pastor E.A Adeboye and his family. I pray that God will enhance the wisdom of the leadership of the RCCG.
