I’m pleased to share that the Ogun State caucus of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has endorsed Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as the sole candidate for the 2027 Ogun State Governorship election.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made the announcement during a stakeholders meeting, stating that the decision followed consultation with President Bola Tinubu and other key stakeholders in Ogun.
It’s no surprise, given Senator Adeola’s track record as a technocrat and financial expert who has dedicated himself to politics for the betterment of the people. Senator Adeola truly deserves this recognition. Over three years, he has transformed governance in Ogun State, impacting lives through donations of hundreds of transformers to communities, empowering youth and women with tools, and offering scholarships to students in Ogun West.
His contributions to infrastructure extend across his senatorial district and beyond. He has also been proactive in legislation, proposing motions and bills to improve his district, including efforts to upgrade Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, into a university of technology, and Yaba College of Technology into a degree-awarding institution.
He played a key role in budget preparation and timely presentation, working tirelessly to align policies with the aspirations of Nigerians. Recognised as a workaholic, he strives continuously to make a difference.
Senator Adeola understands politics well; his achievements in Lagos, from the Lagos State House of Assembly to the House of Representatives and then the Senate representing Lagos West and Ogun West, speak volumes. His slogan, “Yayi ni jo, Yayi ni jare,” has transformed governance in Ogun State and positively impacted communities through empowerment initiatives. Often called “Omo West,”
Senator Adeola is the first to have represented two states in the National Assembly. His tenure as senator from Lagos West, one of the largest districts with ten Local Government Areas, has been immensely impactful. I urge the people of Ogun State to support this remarkable man, who will undoubtedly elevate the state. He has the ability to meet the needs and aspirations of the people, just as he has consistently done. Support him in his quest to take Ogun to greater heights. Yayi is a man of action—he talks and delivers. Ogun people, let’s support him to succeed.
