Troops of Operation Fansan Yanma have neutralised a suspected arms supplier while attempting to flee after being intercepted with weapons meant for bandits in Zamfara State.

The incident occurred during a night operation in Nasarawa Burkullu, where security forces acting on intelligence accosted the suspect, identified as a known arms trafficker from Anka.

Upon sighting the troops, the suspect attempted to escape but was swiftly neutralised.

According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, preliminary investigations confirmed that he was transporting firearms and ammunition to criminal groups operating in the region, desperate for weapon supplies as troops intensified their pursuit against them.
