A man removes oil and power subsidies, the cost of living sky rockets, two and a half years later his cohorts are praising him for “improving the economy”.
We seem to have forgotten where we were when he came into office. It took two years to review the minimum wage and bring inflation down from 30%.
You make things worse than they were, improve them a little, then propaganda takes over.
We appear to suffer from collective amnesia. Daily there are efforts to convince the people that our standard of living has improved.
But a majority still feel the pinch. This is why the country is so hesitant to trust the Federal Government’s New Tax policies which are strangely being praised even before they are implemented.
Like the subsidy removals, the songs of praise have begun long before the arrival of the miracle.
