Pastor Moses Olumuyiwa Popoola (Mopson)

It is difficult to come to terms with the reality of your transition from this cosmos to the great beyond.

We were in the middle of preparation for the dedication and inauguration of the: THRONE OF LIBERATION AND LIGHT OF LIFE MINISTRY (PALACE OF PRAISE) before you felt the need for you to travel abroad for medical attention. I never knew that your journey would turn out to become a short cut to heaven.

Great men don’t live forever. Moses Orimolade lived for 54 years, Archbishop Benson Idahosa 59 years, the great Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola 55 years, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 33 years; but grace gave you 70 years before your emergency home call.

If prayers and wishes could bring you back, I know you would be here with us today. Your loved ones, family, ministers of God, staff and friends did their best days and nights interceding for you but God’s love for you supersedes the wishes and desires of men.

You were the testament of a life full of grace, mercy, kindness, compassion, humility, forgiveness and godliness. You were fully committed to prayer. You were a devout husband to your wife and a committed father to your children (Abiyamo). You were a sunlight, easily noticeable in any society, the ICON of hope and excellence. You were an addicted giver. Your generosity to friends, family and all around you is unparalleled.

Though the sun has set for you here, I know you are happy in glory. I see you walking on the streets of gold (Revelation 21:21, Hebrew 11:16) saints above cheering and celebrating your home coming as you walk home to meet your Lord and Savior full of joy and excitement after a fruitful and fulfilled life.

You will forever remain in our hearts and memories. Until we meet again before His throne, sleep on beloved, sleep and take your rest, lay your head upon the Saviour’s breast, we love you but Christ loves you best.

Good night, good night, good night: Beloved Saint Mathew Shobiye.
