We had years of joyful, deepest love and happiest marriage.
I met Isa Husaini years ago at a training in Abuja, where he was the Country Media Coordinator for Search for Common Ground.
It was truly love at first sight as he loved me right from day one. His personality was just like mine, I mean his gentle nature, composure and calmness. Virtually in a blink of an eye, we got married and our love for each other knew no bounds as we became very close.
He became my friend, my strength, my mentor, my confidant, my advisor.
As heartbroken as I am today, the saddest and darkest moment of my life, I am equally grateful to Almighty Allah for making our paths cross. I am also grateful for every single moment we shared.
And I miss everything about you. You were a wonderful, loving and caring man, you loved your family so dearly.
I must say, there was a moment in time I was afraid of getting into a relationship with a married man, divorcee or a widower; but your personality made me concede when I realised you were the best for me. And you didn’t disappoint me at any point in time.
I adore your courage that kept you happy and closer to your Creator despite your health challenges.
I adore your integrity and sincerity in all circumstances.
You brought joy to the lives of many, me inclusive.
I adore your magnanimity towards people you could help.
The legacies you left on all the paths you trod make me highly proud of you.
How can I forget your unflinching support when you had to give advice or even do some script for my contents whenever I was tired and feeble?
How can I forget how you fervently supported every aspect of my progress?
My husband was a perfect GENTLEMAN.
I thank Allah (S.W.T) for giving me the grace to share my life with a wonderful man who feared Him and left his footprints in the sands of time by his good deeds.
He answered the call of our Creator on January 7, 2024, a day I will never forget in my life. Today marks 40 days since you left this dunya.
Alhaji Isa Husaini, you’re the love of my life.
And I pray to Allah (S.W.T) to grant you Aljannatul firdaus where we shall meet to part no more insha Allah.
You will always be in our hearts and prayers dan kai mutumin kirki ne.
From the pen of your Beloved Wife.
