Village-Head Brother Of Tinubu’s Minister Killed By Bandits, 2 Years After Their Dad Died Aged 100
Bandits have killed the Village Head of Galla in Borgu Emirate, Niger State, following an attack on his palace after he warned them to steer clear of his territory.
The deceased is said to be the brother of the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.
Alhaji Abdullahi Sabi, their father, the District Head of Luma in the Borgu Emirate Council, died at the age of 100 years in September 2024.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday, August 24, 2026.
Sources said the traditional ruler was attacked and killed after reportedly warning the bandits to stay away from his community.
The sources said the warning was allegedly taken as an insult by the bandits, who later attacked the traditional ruler in his palace.
When contacted, spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said he would get back with details.
However, as of the time of filing this report, the police spokesperson had yet to provide an official statement on the incident.
