World leaders have reacted to condemn the assassination attempt of Donald Trump.

UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he is “appalled” by the “shocking scenes” and political violence has “no place in our societies”.

That message was echoed by US President Joe Biden, who said the nation “must unite as one nation to condemn” the incident.

Barrack Obama, who was President before Trump until 2016, said, “We should all be relieved” he wasn’t seriously hurt.

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, “It is a miracle that Donald Trump escaped an attempted assassination”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said such violence has “no justification and no place anywhere in the world”.

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumino Kishida said the world must “stand firm” against any form of violence that “challenges democracy”.

Japan’s former Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, was assassinated in July 2022.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz wrote on X the attack was “despicable.”

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said her “solidarity and best wishes” for a quick recovery are with Trump.

Justin Trudeau, Canada’s Prime Minister, said political violence is “never acceptable” and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he is “deeply concerned” by the attack on his “friend” Trump.

The EU’s Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell described the incident as “unacceptable.”

French President Emmanuel Macron said it is a “tragedy for our democracies.”
