Your Election Won’t Work Unless You Free Political Prisoners In South Sudan, Says Primate Ayodele
Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged the President of South Sudan to quickly release political prisoners in his country, adding that, it was the only way the election billed for December this year could hold.
Primate Ayodele took the stance on Friday, June 12, 2026 at the international headquarters of his church in Lagos.
He also urged the President to rescind his decision to install his son as his successor.
He stated, “South Sudan, they are planning an election in December, and the President wants to install his son as the President.
“If they try to do it, you will cause more problems to the nation.
“Don’t put your son in that position.
“Whatever election you are planning, it is not going to be Democratic.
“You have to release the political detainees, if you don’t release them, the election will not work. Your time is getting close.”
