Super Eagle Michael Eneramo Falls Down And Dies Playing In Kaduna
Former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo has died after collapsing during a football match in Kaduna State on April 24, 2026.
He was aged 40
He reportedly came on as a second-half substitute at the Angwan Yelwa pitch in the Television area when he suddenly slumped without any contact with other players.
Despite immediate on-field efforts and attempts to revive him, he was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The news has triggered widespread shock across Nigeria’s football community, with fans, former teammates and local clubs expressing grief over the sudden loss.
The 40-year-old was said to be featuring at the Angwan Yelwa pitch in the Television area of Kaduna when the incident occurred.
The former international came on as a substitute in the second half before collapsing without any contact.
A source said, “He slumped and died right on the spot. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.”
