During a solidarity visit to Sen. Abdul Ningi, Â @Sen_AbdulNingi, representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, I stressed the importance of preserving the integrity of government institutions if the interests of Nigerians are to be better served and the envisaged development attained.
I assured Sen. Ningi that he is not alone in the battle that earned him a suspension in the Senate. –AA
BACKGROUND
The Senate placed Ningi on suspension after he alleged that The Presidency was operating a N28 trillion budget instead of the N25 trillion version that he claimed was originally approved by the legislators.
He alleged some N3 trillion budget padding.
The Senate, on March 12, suspended Ningi for three months.
