Former Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Executive Director of Project, Chief Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, the Akinuwa Of Agbor Kingdom, has been reported dead after he slumped on Wednesday night’s AFCON match between Nigeria and South Africa in Bouake, Ivory Coast.
Sources said that the man died at home during the football match between Nigeria Super Eagle and South Africa.
He was a forrmer Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ika federal constituency of Delta State, Cairo.
While Cairo was watching the live match between Nigeria and South Africa, in the course of the match, a penalty was awarded against Nigeria.
It brought the scoreline to 1-1.
The Super Eagles eventually won the match on penalties.
It was revealed that as soon as the South Africa team scored against Nigeria, Cairo screamed and then collapsed.
He immediately passed on.
