BREAKING: Former Deputy Governor Dies At 69
The death has been reported of Bauchi State’s former Deputy Governor Audu Sule Katagum.
An Architect, he died at dawn today Saturday at the age of 69.
Audu Sule Katagum is survived by his wife, children and numerous family members.
His death was announced in a statement issued by Lukman Abubakar, Digital and Creative Media aide to former Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
According to the statement, Katagum died in the early hours of Saturday after a lifetime of service to his community, Bauchi State, and the nation.
“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arch. Audu Sule Katagum, Wazirin Katagum and former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State,” the statement read.
Lukman described the late statesman as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria would be remembered.
He added that details regarding the funeral arrangements would be announced later.
The statement also offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, friends, and associates the strength to bear the loss.
