Ireland Expels 42 South Africans
The Republic of Ireland has deported 42 South African nationals.
Those expelled included nine men, 18 women and 15 children, all traveling as family units.
They were flown out of Dublin on a specially chartered flight and arrived in Johannesburg Friday.
Authorities said two of those deported had been convicted of offences in Ireland.
The operation was the fourth deportation charter flight this year, with 130 people previously removed from the country “on grounds of criminality,” according to Ireland’s Department of Justice.
