Ondo Hunters Kill 3 Kidnappers, Rescue Victim
Local hunters, working alongside security operatives, have successfully rescued a kidnapped victim and finished off three suspected kidnappers during a joint operation in Ikare, Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The victim, Mr. Tijani Aremu, was rescued unharmed and taken to a medical facility for examination and necessary care.
According to the Ondo State Police Command, the rescue mission was launched following credible intelligence about an abduction incident in the area.
The combined team reportedly engaged the kidnappers in a fierce exchange of gunfire, leading to the death of three suspects.
Two other suspects, identified as Yahaya Isa and Ismail Ismail, were arrested during the operation and are currently assisting investigators.
The Police Command commended the bravery and cooperation of the local hunters, noting that the operation underscores the importance of community participation and collaboration with security agencies in the fight against kidnapping and other violent crimes.
