Nigeria Needs Tested And Trusted Leadership In 2027: Why Atiku Abubakar’s Experience is the Answer

As Nigeria moves towards the 2027 presidential election, Nigerians have an important responsibility: to look beyond political slogans and carefully examine the experience, records, ideas and plans of those seeking to lead the country.

Nigeria is a complex nation of more than 200 million people. Leading such a country requires more than an ambition. It requires a deep understanding of government and governance, the economy, national security, political and traditional institutions, international diplomatic relations and the everyday challenges faced by ordinary Nigerians.

This is why the experience and leadership capacity of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar deserve serious considerations by all Nigerians.

Atiku served as Nigeria’s Vice President from 1999 to 2007, giving him eight years of experience at the highest level of political leadership in the country. That experience provides an important foundation for assessing his understanding of national governance.

But experience alone should never be enough.
The real question is: What will a candidate do with that experience?

EXPERIENCE MUST PRODUCE RESULTS

Nigeria is facing serious challenges such as unabated rising living costs, normalized unemployment, worsening insecurity, inadequate yet retrogressive electric power supply, weak public institutions, bad policies and growing frustration among citizens.

These challenges require practical solutions, not just political promises.
Here is where Atiku’s candidature becomes the real deal.
Atiku’s current policy agenda places emphasis on areas such as economic reform, job creation, security, education, healthcare, electricity and accountable governance.

For me, this is an important part of the 2027 conversation.
We should ask every presidential candidate:
What is your plan to create jobs?
How will you improve electricity supply?
What will you do to reduce the pressure of the cost of living?
How will you attract investment and grow businesses?
How will you strengthen our institutions and fight corruption?
And, most importantly,
How will Nigerians measure your performance?

LET US MOVE BEYOND PERSONALITY POLITICS

As leaders and citizens, we must encourage a new political culture where candidates are judged by ideas, experience, records and measurable plans.

The 2027 election should not be reduced to ethnicity, religion or personality.
It should be about competence, accountability, security, economic opportunities and the future of Nigeria.

I believe Nigerians should carefully examine every candidate, compare their records and study their programmes before making their choice.

Atiku’s eight years as Vice President and Chairman of National Economic Council (NEC) and His 2027 Manifesto provide an unbeatable record and the assurances that he will restore the glory of Nigeria and make our country great again.

The Nigeria We Desire is Possible With Atiku and Amaechi.
