Nollywood’s Toyin Abraham Snubs APC Campaign Appointment As Yinka Quadri, Kosoko, Wright, Others Make List
Nollywood Actress Toyin Abraham has turned down the membership of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council that the party put in place for the 2027 elections.
Toyin Abraham’s reaction followed the release of the party’s campaign council list on Thursday which included her among 33 personalities under its Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.
Several Nollywood actors including Toyin Abraham, Jide Kosoko, Bukky Wright, Oga Bello, Bimbo Akintola and Eniola Badmus were listed as members of the APC Campaign Council in Lagos State.
The actors were listed under Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate in the list of the APC Campaign Council released on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre.
In a statement shared on her Instagram Story, Abraham said she had decided to stay out of politics and asked the public to disregard her inclusion in the campaign structure.
“I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently, I am staying out of politics. Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee,” she said.
Toke Benson-Awoyinka was appointed as Director of the Directorate, while Kosoko is named Co-Director and Eniola Badmus as Deputy Director.
Ajala Jalingo is listed as Secretary and Dare Olateju as Assistant Secretary.
Other actors on the list include Saheed Balogun, Biola Adebayo, Foluke Daramola, Remi Oshodi, Faithia Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Abey Lanre, Tayo Sobola and Kikelomo Balogun, among others.
