A chieftain of Nigeria’s opposition Labour Party (LP), Professor Pat Utomi, has welcomed his first grandchild.
It is a girl!
Sharing the good news on the WhatsApp departmental platform of his alma mater, “The Jacksonites,” the 1970 graduate of Mass Communication of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, wrote:
“To the Jackson family: news of good cheer. Returned from speaking High Value grammar in Cairo, where I saw Jacksonite Obi Emekekwue in his old hunting grounds, to beholding the reality of news that reached me while in Cairo that I had become a Grandfather.
“So from the Airport to the Hospital and a first meeting with a very cool and pretty Ugochi Ifeanyichukwu Amata. My first grandchild gave a peaceful link into the future.
“So with much gratitude to God I invite your prayers of Thanksgiving to accompany us into this brave new world.
“Pat Utomi.”
