The faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gravitating towards the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, has fixed March 28 and 29, 2026, for its National Convention.
Abuja has been named as venue.
Following its recent judicial victory in which a court nullified a previous factional convention late last year in Ibadan, hosted by Oyo State’s Governor Seyi Makinde, the Wike group has indicated that the March date will feature the election of a new National Working Committee and other statutory organs.
The notice mae in a communiqué at the end of the 105th meeting of the National Executive Committee of the PDP held on Monday in Abuja.
The communiqué was jointly signed by the National Chairman of the National Caretaker Working Committee, Abdulrahman Muhammed, and the National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.
